Look out everyone! Allysa Monahan, is moving up from the Kids Buggy class! Yes, the mini buggy has been put up for sale and Allysa has somehow talked her brother Nate into letting her drive his #705 S-10! The Jordan Station 18 year old is going to be taking on 3 time OORA Ladies Champion…who happens to be her own mother, Barb Monahan! When asked about racing against her mother, who has many class wins in her career, Allysa stated:
“The old girl is going to have a heart attack when I start lapping her! She has had it easy the last few years. I am going to take the championship from her and Nate is going to beat Dad in Class 7 with the same truck. (Barb will be racing Gerry’s new Class 7 S-10). Nate and the #705 truck have won tons of class championships and has been the overall points champion a few times. I have been honing my skills in the mini buggy and Nate has been teaching me in the truck over the last year. I am pumped to to bring Barb’s ego down to match her height!”
